Affiliate Program Terms
Last updated 29 July 2026 · Version 1.0
These Affiliate Program Terms (the “Terms”) govern your participation in the
CopySync affiliate program (the “Program”), operated by CopySync (“CopySync”,
“we”, “us”). By joining the Program, accepting these Terms in your affiliate
dashboard, or promoting CopySync using your referral link or code, you (the
“Affiliate”) agree to be bound by these Terms.
Key points at a glance
You earn a commission on the net subscription revenue of customers you refer — the exact rate and duration are shown in your dashboard.
Commissions are held for a short clearance period, then become payable once the customer’s payment has cleared.
Refunds, chargebacks, and self-referrals void the related commission.
Payouts are requested from your cleared balance, above a per-method minimum, and are processed manually.
You are responsible for your own taxes, and for honest, non-spammy promotion.
The summary above is for convenience only; the full terms below are what apply.
1. Participation
- Affiliate accounts are created and approved by CopySync. We may accept or decline any application at our discretion.
- You must provide accurate account, payout, and tax information and keep it up to date.
- You must be legally able to enter into this agreement in your country of residence.
2. Referral attribution
- You receive a unique referral link and code. A referral is attributed to you when a new customer signs up through your link (or with your code) and is recorded on their account.
- Attribution is set at the time of sign-up and is permanent for that customer. If a customer was already attributed to another affiliate or already had an account, no new attribution is created.
- Self-referrals — creating or paying for a CopySync account using your own referral link or code — do not qualify for commission.
3. Commissions
- You earn a commission on the net subscription revenue (excluding VAT/taxes and any fees) of each qualifying paid invoice from customers you referred.
- Your commission rate and duration are shown in your dashboard. Standard terms are a fixed percentage for a set number of the customer’s paid billing cycles. Individually agreed terms (a different rate, a longer duration, or lifetime commissions) apply only where expressly set for your account.
- Commissions are accrued per paid invoice and held for a clearance period (shown in your dashboard) before they become payable, to account for possible refunds and chargebacks.
- A commission is only earned once the corresponding customer payment has been successfully received and cleared by CopySync.
4. Refunds, chargebacks & reversals
- If a customer payment is refunded, disputed, charged back, or otherwise reversed, the related commission is voided. If it was already marked payable, it may be deducted from your balance.
- We may withhold or reverse commissions that we reasonably believe result from fraudulent, invalid, or policy-violating activity.
5. Payouts
- Payouts are requested by you from your available (cleared) balance and are processed manually by CopySync.
- Minimum payout thresholds apply per payment method (PayPal, Wise, or bank transfer) and are shown in your dashboard.
- You are responsible for providing correct payout details. CopySync is not liable for funds sent to details you provided incorrectly.
- Payouts are made in EUR unless otherwise agreed. Any transfer, currency-conversion, or intermediary fees may be borne by the Affiliate depending on the method.
6. Taxes & self-billing (Gutschrift)
- You are solely responsible for reporting and paying any taxes, duties, or social contributions due on your commissions in your jurisdiction.
- Commissions are stated exclusive of any VAT that you may be required to charge. Where legally required, you are responsible for issuing valid invoices.
- Before your first payout you must provide complete and accurate tax details: your legal name or company, billing address, country, whether you act as a business or a private individual, and — where applicable — your VAT identification number (EU businesses) or tax number.
- Self-billing: You agree that CopySync settles your commissions by way of a self-billing credit note (Gutschrift under §14(2) of the German VAT Act / UStG) issued in your name and on your behalf. You will not issue a separate invoice for the same commissions.
- Each credit note is issued with a sequential number and carries the wording “Gutschrift”. VAT is shown according to your status: German businesses (19% VAT), German small businesses under §19 UStG (no VAT), and EU or third-country partners (reverse charge, VAT accounted for by the recipient).
- You must promptly notify CopySync of any change to your tax status or details. If you object to a credit note, it loses its validity as an invoice and payout may be withheld until the matter is resolved.
7. Promotion rules
To keep the Program fair and protect the CopySync brand, you must not:
- send spam or unsolicited messages, or use misleading, false, or deceptive claims;
- bid on CopySync brand terms in paid search, or use domains, handles, or app names that impersonate CopySync;
- use cookie stuffing, forced clicks, malware, or any technical means to create invalid referrals;
- offer unauthorized cash rebates, or make earnings/performance guarantees on our behalf;
- present CopySync in connection with illegal, harmful, or misleading financial advice, or imply we provide investment advice or guaranteed returns.
8. Trademarks & content
- We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, revocable license to use the CopySync name and logo solely to promote CopySync in line with these Terms. All CopySync intellectual property remains ours.
- You are responsible for your own promotional content and channels, and for complying with all applicable laws, platform rules, and advertising regulations.
9. Term & termination
- Either party may end participation at any time. We may suspend or disable your affiliate account and withhold ineligible or fraudulently obtained commissions if you breach these Terms.
- On termination for cause, unpaid commissions tied to invalid or policy-violating activity may be forfeited. Legitimately earned, cleared commissions that meet the minimum payout threshold remain payable.
10. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms or Program parameters (such as commission rates, durations, hold periods, and payout minimums) from time to time. Material changes apply going forward from the date they are published here. Your continued participation constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
11. Liability
The Program is provided “as is”. To the maximum extent permitted by law, CopySync is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your participation. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
